Event Lecture and Original Art on Display children's book artist Shane W. Evans

Meet Children’s Illustrator Shane Evans Friday, Nov. 17 • 7 p.m. • Blue Valley Library Meet children’s book illustrator Shane Evans whose artwork is on display in our gallery during the month of November. Mr. Evans will talk about his work. Reception, book sale and autographing will follow the program.Celebrate Children's Book Week with book illustrator Shane Evans. Mr. Evans will talk about his work, which includes such titles as The Way a Door Closes, and Free at Last!: Stories and Songs of Emancipation. A reception being held at the Blue Valley Neighorhood Library will follow the program. Books will also be available to purchase. During the month of November, stop by Blue Valley Neighborhood Library and see Mr. Evans artwork on display in the gallery. EXHIBIT: Shane Evans WHEN: November 3 - December 8, 2006 In the business of illustration, design, and creative development, Shane Evans is a multi-talented artist and visionary who combines his world travels with his art to influence creative expression in others. Mr. Evans has created illustrations, graphic design, and web design for major companies, and he has conceptualized and illustrated numerous children's books. Many of the books have been featured on major media outlets such as Oprah and Late Night with David Letterman, and he has received much acclaim from within the children's literary field
