First I would like to say, THANK YOU GOD. In every work that I do, I thank GOD first. On February 26, 2007, my family's home was burglarized. The day began with my wife's car being taken out of our driveway followed by the thieves entering our home while we were away for thirty minutes. Among the things taken was a computer of mine that housed a WEALTH of artistic information irreplaceable to me as a creative person. After the initial SHOCK of realizing what had happened, I quickly came to my senses and praised GOD for my safety the safety of my family. Upon finding out that our home was invaded, my wife rushed home from work and was supportive and strong for her husband, who was still hurt and angry. Something came from her mouth VERY unexpectedly, she gazed quietly into space with a thoughtful look and said, "It was probably some kids that didn't have a loving home and people that cared about them." Inside I literally had to say WOW, I would have never expected such a statement from my wife, so loving and forgiving towards people that had done us so wrong.

I am still upset, believe me, and I am shocked that something of this nature would happen to me and my family, but I am also feeling blessed for many reasons. I did pray for those people, as none of us is without fault.

One of the things that these KIDS stole from our house was a box of 50 RICE KRISPIES TREATS, I was like DANG!!! Are you kidding me!!! I had to laugh just a little the next morning when I heard my daughter in the kitchen as she found out the treats were gone she said "Why didn't they just buy their own - they're only a dollar?" She continued by asking me, "Is 90 calories a lot?" "It's not bad," I replied. "Well if they're going to eat them all at once, that is not good for them." The simple way that she expressed her care for people who have not done right to others was refreshing to me.

I have been working on some animations that I have been waiting to share with people. It is a series of positive messages called "black angels," a combination of my animations and lyrics from a variety of artists. It is my intention to create this once a month to send out for people simply to hear and see. I urge you all to help share this message - forward it on to a friend or family member, perhaps there will be a message or spark of inspiration for someone somewhere, to turn a not so great day into a blessing.
